Adobe is expanding its artificial intelligence capabilities by integrating its creative tools directly into Slack, allowing teams to use apps like Photoshop, Firefly, Premiere and Acrobat through Slack’s AI chatbot.
The integration allows customers to access Adobe applications through Slackbot, Slack’s AI assistant, as well as through the Adobe for Slack MCP app, which will bring more than 70 Adobe tools into the platform.
Adobe Apps Become Available Through Slack
With the new integration, users can describe what they want to accomplish, and Slackbot will identify and use the appropriate Adobe tool to complete the task.
The system can also use the context of Slack conversations and Canvas documents to help users create content. For example, teams can transform discussions into PDFs, images or videos, access assets from previous campaigns and edit files from Adobe Creative Cloud libraries without leaving Slack.
The integration will initially be available to Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ customers.
AI Moves Creative Work Into Conversations
As companies continue adding artificial intelligence features to productivity and creative platforms, many users still rely on conversational interfaces to complete tasks.
This shift has encouraged software providers to make their tools available through AI assistants and platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude and Slack.
Adobe recently launched a similar integration with ChatGPT and is preparing a Gemini integration. According to Deepti Pradeep, senior director for Agentic AI at Adobe, customers are already using Adobe tools through other applications for repeatable workflows such as batch image editing and resizing creative assets.
“People talked about the value they get from this experience very clearly: saving time, getting to the outcome they want faster without having to micromanage every step, being able to access Adobe wherever they’re already working,” Pradeep said.
Adobe Expands Its AI Ecosystem
The company said these integrations are pushing Adobe to focus less on individual editing actions and more on helping users achieve broader creative outcomes.
Other creative software companies are following a similar approach. Canva and Figma have also made their tools available through AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude, while companies like Anthropic are building deeper Slack integrations because workplace conversations often contain valuable business context.
Adobe’s Advantage in AI-Powered Creativity
Adobe believes its advantage comes from offering a broad range of creative and productivity tools across multiple formats and workflows.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into workplace applications, Adobe is positioning its products as accessible wherever users already collaborate, rather than limiting creative work to standalone applications.
